Nestled in a compact backyard in Canton, MA, this project presented a rewarding challenge: to deliver a fully realized outdoor living experience within an extremely limited footprint. Ivy Studio responded with a thoughtful, space-efficient design that maximizes functionality and comfort without compromising on aesthetic impact. At the heart of the space is a custom-designed pool featuring a sun-shelf ledge, offering a shallow area for lounging and play. Just behind the integrated spa, a grand outdoor fireplace anchors the central seating area—creating a cozy gathering spot for multiple guests.  To the side, an expansive outdoor kitchen sits with premium Lynx appliances, generous storage, and a granite-topped bar with ample seating. This space is a hub for outdoor dining and socializing.

Flanking the patio are two carefully placed river birch specimen trees. As they mature, they will provide dappled shade to full-sun seating areas, ensuring comfort even during peak summer heat while adding seasonal beauty to the landscape. This project is an example of creative design within tight constraints, delivering an outdoor environment that feels spacious and entirely custom.
