The northwest architectural styling of the home was the perfect backdrop for this design, which centered around a large pool with pebble finish. The difficult grade transitions of the existing property were solved by using a negative edge wall on one side of the pool, to allow upper patio seating while maximizing the lower open lawn space, which was critical for the Clients growing family. Other site features include an outdoor kitchen constructed against the existing deck with a bar, artificial turf seating areas & boulder scaping with lush beds of planting color. With the elevated grade of the pool deck, new screen planting of large Norway spruce provides visual screening from neighbor’s sightlines.
